Acrylic baghouse filter bags are more economical than other technical fabrics on the market. They do not shrink in low-temperature environments where continuous operating temperatures are up to 260°F (125°C) with temperature surges of up to 300°F (150°C). The fibers offer moderate chemical resistance but very good tensile strength. Since acrylic offers excellent hydrolysis resistance, it works well in humid baghouse conditions with mild chemical attacks.
Albarrie relies on acrylic to manufacture its unique Tandem™ line of baghouse filter bags. By layering acrylic with P84® Polyimide technical fabric, the filter’s surface area improves and can withstand stronger chemical attacks in the baghouse environment, giving the user a better performing filter bag at a lower cost than 100% P84®.
