PROTECT OR SEAL WITH META-ARAMID TAPE

DuPont is a heat-resistant fiber used in various applications, protecting millions of people and processes worldwide. It’s used in high-temperature applications for protection or sealing. The soft yet durable industrial-grade technical textile felt is inherently fire resistant and capable of handling temperatures up to 450°F (230°C).

Albarrie’s Defender™ Series Meta-Aramid Tape is a heat-protective tape that combines the effectiveness of felt with high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive for easy application to many surfaces.

Manufacturers often use cardboard and post sleeves as protective materials in ovens or high-heat environments. Unfortunately, these considered duct tape solutions are unreliable since they can fall off, leaving your finished product unprotected against scratches, dings and dents. Albarrie’s heat protective Tape was initially designed for age carts in aluminum extrusion ovens during heat treating but has many other protective and sealing uses where high temperatures are present.

Albarrie’s Defender™ Series Products provide ultimate protection during high-heat conveyance. For areas where high temperatures are not a concern, Albarrie offers high-quality polyester endless belts to deliver the same level of exceptional protection.

EXTEND SERVICE LIFE

Nonwoven needle-punched felt is made of two components – fiber and air. The more fibers needled into the fabric’s construction means less air space for the same material thickness. This process results in a longer-lasting product when following the manufacturer’s recommendations.

EASY TO INSTALL

Peel off the backing material and apply the adhesive side to the intended surface. The surface should be free of dust, grease, oil, moisture, and other contaminants as they will significantly decrease bonding power.

Nomex® Felt Tape can be cut to exact lengths to provide precise coverage and is available in slit rolls in four different styles. We ensure complete coverage of storage racks and age ovens to protect your finished product from marking and scratching.
