TECHNICAL FABRICS BY THE ROLL

NONWOVEN POLYIMIDE (P84®)

ENHANCE FILTER PERFORMANCE

Developed by Evonik, P84® Polyimide fibers are an excellent choice in demanding industrial air filtration applications where high temperatures are present, and there’s a probability of corrosion and abrasion. The fiber’s unique multi-lobal structure offers the highest surface area for filtration, compared to other fibers on the market, which are round. In addition, they stay stable in high-temperature applications with a peak operating temperature of 460°F (237 °C). The fibers are non-flammable, making them an outstanding solution for industrial air filtration.

Albarrie and Evonik have worked together to develop P84® technical textiles for over 30 years. This long relationship has helped Albarrie become a leader in the specialized processing and manufacturing of P84® nonwoven technical fabrics. Albarrie uses P84® technical textile to fabricate its custom baghouse filter bags – Tandem and Meteor – due to its increased service lifehigh-quality fiber, and technical support over other polyimide fibers. Albarrie manufactures P84® rolls in weights between 14 and 28 oz/yd² (475-950 g/m²) with thicknesses between 0.039 and 0.11 in. (1-3 mm).

LOWER OPERATING COSTS IN INDUSTRIAL AIR FILTRATION

P84® Polyimide technical textile is a high-performing industrial air filter media due to its high-temperature stability and enhanced filtration performance, resulting in cost savings in baghouse operations. Customers achieve enhanced filtration performance through improved dust capture on the surface and less blinding of the filter media. This results in less frequent bag changeouts, reducing maintenance and operating costs. In addition, the consistent filtration performance of P84® filter media helps ensure dust discharge over the filter’s life span. Peaks and surges can be managed effectively and stay within allowable limits.

VIRGIN FIBERS

Albarrie uses only 100% virgin fibers.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Albarrie inspects and tests each order as part of our Quality Assurance program, providing datasheets for weight, thickness, permeability, Mullen burst, and tensile strength according to ASTM standards.
